Information on the processing of personal data when you visit this website.

General Information

Respecting the personal rights of our website visitors, partners, and their clients is a core principle for us. This naturally also applies to how we handle data from your visit to our website.

The general right of personality gives rise to an individual's right to informational self-determination. Its protection is the purpose of statutory provisions. Our website is designed in compliance with applicable data protection law. We are convinced that, as an internet user, you too want your privacy to be respected.

The following notice provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is the ATVANTIS company to which your inquiry or the service you use relates:

ATVANTIS Asset Management GmbH
Straße des Friedens 112
07548 Gera, Germany
Email: datenschutz(at)atvantis.com
ATVANTIS Finanz- und Versicherungsmakler GmbH

Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (SITEFORUM). Hosting involves the processing of, in particular, technical connection data and server log files. If you use forms on our website, the personal data you enter there may also be processed and stored on the hosting provider's systems.

This processing serves the secure, reliable, and technically error-free provision of our website and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and functional provision of our website.

Where the hosting provider processes personal data on our behalf, it does so on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Data Collection on Our Website

As part of its website, ATVANTIS offers users the option to download publications and documents, submit complaints, and get in touch with us in general. To use certain offerings, you may be asked to enter personal data required to process your request. It is entirely your decision whether you use such an offering and enter your data. The data you enter is stored and processed solely for the purpose of handling your request. Data collection, processing, and use accordingly take place in compliance with strict statutory requirements or with your express consent. Where necessary, this may include, when processing complaints about a company, passing your data on to the company concerned.

Some data is collected when you provide it to us. This may, for example, be data you enter into a contact form. If you send us an inquiry via the contact form, the details you provide, including the contact information you supply, are stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry. We do not pass this data on without your consent. Processing of the data entered into the contact form is therefore based solely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke this consent at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient for this purpose. The lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to revocation remains unaffected. The data you enter into the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it, you revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing it no longer applies (e.g. once your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

You can register on our website to use additional features. We use the data entered for this purpose solely to provide the offering or service for which you registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full; otherwise we will decline the registration. We use the email address provided at registration to inform you of important changes, such as to the scope of our offering or technically necessary changes. Processing of the data entered at registration is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke any consent you have given at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient for this purpose. The lawfulness of any data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation. Data collected at registration is stored by us for as long as you remain registered on our website and is deleted thereafter. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. web browser, operating system, or time of the page request). This data is collected automatically in a log file as soon as you access our website. The following data is stored in the log file:

  • IP address of the accessing computer
  • Name of the file retrieved
  • Date and time of retrieval
  • Amount of data transferred

The data stored in the log file is evaluated by us in anonymized form and solely for statistical purposes. It is not passed on to third parties and is therefore not available for any further use. No user profile is created.

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries you send to us as the site operator. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

We further note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Some of the data is collected to ensure the secure and error-free provision of the website. Data you provide to us via a contact form is used for your inquiry or request.

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device or that can access information already stored there.

We use cookies to the extent that they are technically necessary for the operation, security, and basic functions of our website. In these cases, the storage of information on your device or access to information already stored there is based on § 25(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). The subsequent processing of personal data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and functional provision of our website.

Technically necessary cookies are deleted once their respective purpose no longer applies or in accordance with their intended storage period.

Job Applications

If you apply to us, we process the personal data you submit for the purpose of carrying out the application process. This includes, in particular, your contact details, information from your CV, and any certificates, references, and other application documents you submit.

Processing is carried out pursuant to § 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of deciding whether to enter into an employment relationship.

Your applicant data is made accessible only to those persons involved in carrying out the application process.

If no employment relationship is established, your application documents will be deleted after the application process has ended, as soon as their further storage is no longer necessary to protect legitimate interests and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Third-Party Tools

Our website integrates insurance comparison calculators provided by Mr-Money Software GmbH, Barkhausenstraße 2, 01069 Dresden, Germany (hereinafter "Mr-Money"). When you access a page featuring the integrated comparison calculator, your browser establishes a direct connection to Mr-Money's servers. Technical data, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the date and time of access, is transmitted to Mr-Money. If you use the calculator and enter information to obtain quotes, this data is processed by Mr-Money to generate the respective comparisons and offers. This integration is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a functional and user-friendly online comparison tool) as well as Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures). For further information on data protection and data processing by Mr-Money, please refer to their privacy policy at: https://www.mr-money.de/datenschutz

What Rights Do You Have Regarding Your Data?

In the event of a data protection violation, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. You may also contact the supervisory authority of another EU or EEA member state, for example at your place of residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged violation. A list of the German state data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html

Within the scope of applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing.

You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning you. Furthermore, your personal data must be deleted if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, if you have revoked your consent, or if it has been processed unlawfully. You also have the right to request the restriction of processing.

Where processing is based on your express consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time for one or more specific purposes. Please note that withdrawal only takes effect for the future; processing carried out before the withdrawal is not affected. Withdrawal also has no effect on data processing carried out on any other legal basis.

Where your personal data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right under Art. 21 GDPR to object to the processing of your personal data at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

We will then no longer process the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to the controller in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to have this data transmitted to another controller, provided this is technically feasible.

If you have any questions about data protection, you can contact us by email at datenschutz(at)atvantis.com or in writing to the responsible company at the address given above.
